Whenever I’m trying to slap a new part on my craft and I want it to be a specific size, it’s pretty annoying when the part applies a TikTok face effect and one side of the part balloons to 2x its size, especially because it only does so on one end. Having a switch to turn this setting off for new parts without having to switch change it for every single part would make building easier for some.

you can turn that off. In the 'move part tool' section of the editor there is an option to turn auto resize parts off.
