Torreah

5th moon of Arkkanna, in between Trivonis and Alteraan Prime.

Torreah is the third-largest moon in the Arkkannian System, boasting spectacular rings and a complex moon system. It is also known for its surface features, like the redundant glacial islands and icebergs that lie near the poles, to the thick jungles and grasslands on its islands. It is full of life, from the large-scale creatures to the microscopic, obtaining minuscule sizes and feasting on the ever-shining light from Arventhor and Tempris.

#It is also dotted with islands of many sizes, along with atolls, sandbars, and reefs. Torreah also boasts quite a large ring system for a moon of its size and proximity to its parent planet, in this case, Arkkanna. The nights on Torreah are never truly dark, as there is normally one moon in the night sky. Torrean sunsets are another beauty, thanks to the different gases in the atmosphere, which allow it to take on various colors, not only during those times but also during the day, as there is a deep blue hue in the sky.

Because of the lower gravity, many creatures take on large forms. The Castle Strider (Stridiotinus Garmestral), is a large, herbivorous creature, feasting on the plant matter below. Due to their gargantuan size and sluggish speed, they often have some sort of planet matter growing on them. While it may seem harmful or parasitic, the plants use the old, worn-down husk that lies on top. When it sheds its armor, the top normally stays on. The plants feast on the leftovers from the armor, along with using it as a base to grow on. In turn, they protect the Castle Striders by creating camouflage from above, making them hard to spot from aerial predators. Torreah is also known for its diverse aquatic life. Some islands are deserts, featuring some rock formations like mesas or just regular dunes. Most of these islands are rich in reefs and coastal marine life, partially due to their being in warm regions such as the islands or the volcanoes nearby.
