This cold but luminous world was once the hottest planet in the Sol system. However after centuries of terraforming, the once hot toxic CO2 atmosphere has frozen and condensed into oceans of CO2. Scientists speculate that as the atmosphere continues to cool, the oceans will freeze solid and become dry ice.
Venus became a target for terraforming after the long term health concerns of low gravity became apparent among the inhabitants of Mars and Luna. Many ruling governments of the inner Sol system have reallocated many of their resources to send the frozen CO2 into orbit and out of Venus’s sphere of influence. The massive ring around this planet is a testament to those efforts.
