Jovia is an iron rich rocky planet with all the conditions for a successful terraforming.

The planet's axial tilt of 5 deg keeps most of the water locked in the poles as ice, while the ecuator is a dry desert. The current water patches are enough to increase the atmospheric oxygen concentration to a level that can sustain vegetation both in water and on land but are insufficient for heat retention or for activating the warm meteorological phenomenons. A slight increase in the average temperature would increase the atmospheric water vapor content which in turn will amplify the CO2 greenhouse gas effect.

The suface iron oxide dust blown by the wind in the high atmosphere gives the reddish sky. The same dust with the small ozone layer give protection from deadly UV radiation which allows vegetation to form near the seas or where the ice has melted. In the recent millennia of years remote colonies of Geobacter and Shewanella bacteria have started to decompose the iron oxide from the soil which allowed more water lakes and swamps to form where more vegetation could grow.

Hmm, looks like when launching from Silverlake there is a flickering issue due to shallow water. Again correct and repost.

Thank you! Jovia has actually taken me the longest to build. Hard to make something this big and unfamiliar look good.

One day...I want to make planets like yours! They are just so beautiful...so realistic, man, thanks for blessing our eyes

Atmospheric thickness lowered with "sky height scale now at 0.75" (slider only allows until 1).
