Glell: The Azure Spectacle

Major shipyard world, population hub and Gas giant Habitation tech development base

of the Commonwealth

2202AD

Population: 2.1 Billion

(R)"I Remember coming to the city cluster as a child with my parents for vacation, I must say, it was just 1 city previously, it was still quite new, the best part about the vacation was that I got a room with a window, looking down at Glell, the sight of its winds just in motion, was enough to make young me smile and keep me quite entertained, sometimes when I just couldnt sleep, id just watch the winds in motion..."

(I)"I cant really blame you here, gas giants are spectacular to look at, I mean those clouds and the shades of blues, its just beautiful..."

(R)"Id be lucky if I caught a glimpse of Tlell, and its city lights, just to see a lush red world, with city lights never gets old"

(T)"Hostile fleet was eliminated, just stayed over to ensure they didnt have any reinforcements, which they didnt, still, any luck tracking down those pirates headquarters Ivana?"

(I)"Fortunately we did get some leads, there outposts should be by terfium if our intel is correct, itd make sense since they can design stations to look like ruins and suit the environment naturally."

(T)"I can agree with that, for now we should just repair our ships, mission log states Shipyard 8-C"

Glell is a rather small, chaotic and beautiful Jovian that has quite a habitable temperature hence the commonwealth is using it to experiment further on Gas giant habitation technology to make future jovian habitation safer, efficient, less prone to disaster, effective, etc. Glell also helps engineers and architects learn about different conditions of gas giants in order to design habs which can still withstand such conditions (and harsher) while still having enough structural integrity and being able to run at optimal capacity (e.g, some taller structure broke from its base and wedged itself into a large battery leading to a blackout within a home or area, not ideal) looking aesthetically pleasing without sacrificing anything thats vital to the inhabitants and habitation itself. Glell is also a rare jovian since it is amongst the few known to host aerial lifeforms, although they are microscopic, Xenobiologists are still interested in trying to identify glell and its lifeforms, (they arent sure when its lifeformed and if this is a primordial soup or not, or even the joviaj equivalent of a "teeming" biosphere) in order to categorise them to learn more about Jovian lifeforms.

Glell Itself

Albeit small, glell started out as a gas moon of a brown dwarf wandering for approximately 2.3 billion years, over time, it did gain a lot of mass since it was amongst the first moon to form within the brown dwarfs system, it didnt have rings yet, it was at this time scientists estimate it was at its highest mass and size, coming in at about x1.29 Jupiters in size and x1.73 Jupiters in mass. Glell was eventually slingshot out of its system, since its parent had been now been in a binary system with another brown dwarf for about several millions of years (this binary system started 2.297 billion years after Glell formed), like most celestial bodies within this situation, instead of being set on a crash course to one of the parent worlds, Glell was slingshot out of its system and was caught by a single star in a highly eccentric orbit. With its periapsis close to the star, Glell had shed some mass from passing through its periapsis causing it to lose a significant amount of its mass and size (hence leading to its cut in size and mass) until tugged minorly by another single star which set it on a course to become a rogue world. It wasnt until 3 billion years that it was caught by Strellius's pull during the Late Formation Era hence explaining its minimal gain in size and mass, it did capture some moons which have collided and become its rings early on, yet it has captured enough material in order for Tlell to form hence it is here today.

holy moly. this a AWESOME planet. the storms are nice, and the top storm of white transitions into the blue perfectly. one question though, I do wonder how most of the storms are in the northern hemisphere, LOL.
