"All I see around me is Yellow...Some ice over there and more yellow...but the moonmoons are quite the sight to behold! not to mention the neighbouring moons. Heck, lets mine the crap outta this dry yellow ball of dust n ores!
Mechanical suit drill starts up
"Lets get these suits Dirty!"
-Head of the first mining outpost of Delos when the first miners got here
(O)"Delos...everyone loved it, the day the scans were released, leaders were shocked, it was rich in pretty much everything any civilization like ours could need! Development started small, and eventually grew at a rather slow rate, since it was just us on Delos at that time. By the time the other factions came along, development quickened, especially with the Fordians, they shared their modified mining technologies with us and development and extraction are occuring at a really high rate! I mean if we just look at it from orbit...its as if its an ecumonopolis"
(L)"Why was development so slow initially dad? Especially if it we first started mining about 90 years ago and it was just us? Was it because of the high gravity or any other factors?"
(O)"Well Starshine, it wasnt just because of the gravity, sure it gave us challenge, yet it was also due to the combined material income of Donom and Delos itself that was enough to fuel the then small economy, it was just terrius, Fordius and Nora, we only mined as much as we needed since there was no need to overmine and sit with a large amount of surplus resources, if we did we'd have to ask key questions, where would we put the storage facilities? on planet or in space? if in space, im pretty sure piracy was...non existent then, yet, it wouldve sparked some ambitious individuals to try steal them, hence causing us to use military assets to protect them, stretching it a little, people back then were pretty worried since we brought ourselves near extinction after the war of Terra, and didnt want something like some hostile aliens or even asteroids to bring us to near extinction again, which is why people valued military assets then. If we put the warehouses on planets, it wouldntve been ideal, that space it took up couldve been used to house several hundreds, if not thousands of people, and back then humanity was trying to cement itself wherever it could really, so taking up land for surplus wasnt ideal. Hence why development was pretty slow."
(L)"That makes sense now that I think of it"
(S)"Sir, we just got a message that the Fordians arrived, I think you should head out"
(O)"Well, thats good, I hope this Conference goes well...wish me luck starshine...I love you"
(L)I love you too dad! I know you got this, just like the other conferences, and dont get nervous, just think of it as a simulator, you practice with simulators a lot in order to make sure the real thing goes right...so just think of it like that I guess,"
(O)"Thanks Lyra, for...everything(smiles)"
-Otaris Ontares and Lyra before the Delos Further Development Initiative Conference commenced
Delos
Delos is a boon to civilization, It hosts a large amount of metals and precious materials, such as Deleton, (Dt) used in making reinforced alloys used in making Battleship Hulls and sometimes even in Planetary Flagships. Due to Delos not having been fully claimed by the commonwealth as other factions reformed, they decided to stake their claim, hence the world becoming a mining capital for all alliance members. Delos currently is developing at a pretty fast rate in order to pump out resources to fuel each factions ambition, with the Commonwealth rapidly expanding to cement humanity's existence, The fordians exploring other star systems to find more rich mineral reserves and setting up a military presence to essentially "occupy" the system as well as opting for mass production of military vessels, the Botanian government currently opting for a Colonization initiative to colonize other worlds in order to support a larger population and to use them as baseworlds to possibly find more Alien lifeforms and The Eiderian Union planning to mine more materiaos in order to use them for all terrain vehicle purposes to make planetary exploration easier, as well as researching high speed rail networks to make trade and logistics work more efficiently. Delos also hosts a large number of orbital shipyards which construct ships belonging to Alliance members, the shipyards are owned by the Alliance yet no members in particular, hence the sight of Krellus Class cruisers being sent off alongside Foradora class heavy cruisers being quite the norm.
Delos Itself
Delos contains a large amount of resources matching those of former zombie worlds, leading scientists to believe it originally formed in orbit of a white dwarf or a pulsar. It is theorised it remained in its parents orbit for about 2.48 billion years, before a neighbouring world with the mass comparable to a jovian had slingshot it out of the system making it become a rogue world. It is believed that Delos was then captured by a lone star and remained there for roughly 500 million years before having been slingshot due to its highly eccentric orbit, before arriving in the Trellius system and capturing its current moonmoons.
Delos (even the old one which is years old) is based off of Nembus Major from Space RPG 4
Funfact: I got quite bored in the game that I decided to colonize it lol, for no reason...although should it develop fully, it might bring in a horseload of cash

EQUIRECTANGULAR MAP

Imma catch some Zs and sleep, goodnight to all! Again live long and prosper and thank you!
This took several days lol, as well this is my first attempt at a "city light" effect (although it's not cities, rather mining facility Clusters) as well, I have a math test tomorrow, wish me luck brothers, thanks for your support, all of you really and truly, im really greatful for all of you guys,
Live Long and Prosper
@Cooldude88
@TimothySin tell you what, when I'm free I will write you a detailed guide...yet this will likely be after the exams end...so please be patient brother
@BmnkRocketIndustries what chat are you referring to brother?
@Aludra877 ALL at once
I was inactive
@Aludra877 please ping me on the new chat
@TimothySin well...what exactly did you find hard brother? it as a whole? noise? sizing? interface?
@Aludra877 Creepy? Uhm... Idk..
@Aludra877 Yeah, I tried to make planet but, it's hard...
@TimothySin make what exactly brother? a planet? if so I can help!
@TerraSpace Hey brother, im sorry for being late, yet id like to ask, what do you find creepy about delos? Im just curious, live long and prosper
I tried to make one but it's too hard, idk what to do...
@Tallisar thanks brother, I appreciate your feedback, peace and long life to you as well!
Hmm, yeah, no. Appearance wise and lore wise, you did great, @Aludra877, especially the fifth image (that is my favorite). However, even if the planet is scaled up it still results in an abnormally high mean density, this may just be an effect of being a zombie world (I do not know too much about them, but I do know they’re typically found around neutron stars, and based on the ones in real life, they’re extremely dense (or I may just be wrong, I cannot say for sure)). Do try making an RSS world some time. This world has proven that it is possible for you to do so. Peace, and long life.
@wernhervonkerman well, I'm glad the city light effects work lol (although those are just mining clusters)
@Tallisar well brother, it's not an RSS celestial body, the size is close, yet no, due to all the celestial bodies being scaled down in the strellius system (and likely the other systems too). If this were RSS it would be larger than earth, by quite a margin lol, live long and prosper
(the heck did my autocorrect get issue out of rss?)
creepy but cool planet!
Still why is the gravity so high
@Tallisar still… idk i dunno if its even possible for a planet to get this dense lol
If so, @PZLAgencies, hmhmhmhmhm, well, density.
@Tallisar i think it is
Is this planet meant to be in RSS scale?
@wernhervonkerman nevermind those are hills i did take a closer look
