A rocky planet tiddly locked in it's orbit, most commonly referred to as an eyeball planet.
One side is constantly bathed in intense sunlight, creating extreme heat, while the opposite side remains in perpetual darkness and freezing temperatures. The twilight zone, or terminator, where the day and night sides meet, would be the only region with potentially habitable temperatures, suitable for liquid water.
The atmosphere is kept from freezing completely in the night side by the strong winds generated from uneven heating.

    @Potatoincanada201 Hello,

    You mean to select a part and on the tab that shows up to read the temperature (most useful when reentering the atmosphere to see how high some parts heat up). Right? If this is what you mean than yes. I will make a video in the following days to show you.

    @Neveon Have you tried checking the tab that opens when selecting your craft’s part? Instead of showing the ambient temperature of the entire planet, it shows the ambient temperature around your craft.

    @Potatoincanada201 I have tried on the planet Jovia that I created. It's average temperature is 2 deg C (ambient shown in performance tab). The result is the same.
    If a craft is moving a part's temperature (which changes also depending on friction) will decrease to the average temp of the planet (what was selected in planet studio between day and night). Once the part is static it reverts to 15.6 deg. C.

    @Neveon Have you tried checking the temperature on your actual planet? Also, when I said check the temperature of your craft part, I want you to actually click on the part, scroll down and it will show you the temperature of the part. Also, have you tried changing the temperature of your planet using the atmosphere planet modifier? Anyways, this did work for me, meaning this should work for you.

    I tried this method. Sadly every material I check reverts to 15.6 deg C when static regardless if it's on Droo or Cylero, night or day. When in motion it tries to approach the ambient temperature of the planet (the average temperature) with small differences.

    @Neveon You see this by spawning in a craft, clicking on a part on the craft and seeing it’s temperature. It’s temperature can vary if it’s day or night depending on what you set it to in the atmosphere planet modifiers or the water planet modifier.

    @Potatoincanada201 Hello,
    True, but where do you see this in game? The only temperature indication is in the performance tab "ambient temperature", which is always the average between what you set in planet studio day temperature and night temperature.

    @Neveon Isn’t the average temperature for the entire planet? Temperature can still be different on different sides of the plant because you can still set the temperature on the night side of the planet to a different temperature to the day side of the planet.

    An abandoned work in progress. This was the initial draft for Alaria. The idea was of a tidally locked world.
    The reason why I abandoned this world is because the game only displays the average temperature anywhere on the planet (despite having day temperature and night temperature in planet studio).
