Jovia is an iron rich rocky planet with all the conditions for a successful terraforming.

The planet's axial tilt of 5 deg keeps most of the water locked in the poles as ice, while the ecuator is a dry desert. The current water patches are enough to increase the atmospheric oxygen concentration to a level that can sustain vegetation both in water and on land but are insufficient for heat retention or for activating the warm meteorological phenomenons. A slight increase in the average temperature would increase the atmospheric water vapor content which in turn will amplify the CO2 greenhouse gas effect.

The suface iron oxide dust blown by the wind in the high atmosphere gives the reddish sky. The same dust with the small ozone layer give protection from deadly UV radiation which allows vegetation to form near the seas or where the ice has melted. In the recent millennia of years remote colonies of Geobacter and Shewanella bacteria have started to decompose the iron oxide from the soil which allowed more water lakes and swamps to form where more vegetation could grow.

    Hello,
In the version I released last week the shallow water around the beach caused a flickering zone. I adjusted the terrain revmap to have a steeper slope around the beaches. With this I had to correct the main launch locations. I released that version. Then I learned that I could change the atmosphere thickness by directly modifying the figure while the slider only allows to the minimun value of 1, released this modification, but after this, I realized I've forgotten about the alternate landing locations (Denara, Rigel). I had to correct the terrain also in that locations.

The current version released is final. I believe I've done enough to it. It's really hard to make a planet look good that doesn't have a lot of diversity.

Why do you keep uploading this planet, then removing it?

Judging by the 3rd pic, I think the difference with this version of Jovia is that it's terraformation efforts are progressing, dope work man!

Thank you! I made a small adjustment on the terrain and with that I had to correct 5-6 more aspects. To my surprise, towards improvement. There would still be a lot to adjust but, ultimately I have to move on.
