"From Colony to Capital...its common these days, yet its no easy feat, I once remember a time when I was patrolling around here during my early years in the Commonwealth Navy, I was in my fighter...you guys likely dont know which one, yeah they arent in use anymore...more of a mueseum piece nowadays, yet rather reliable. Now, I was in orbit and I saw what a beautiful world it was when it was still a colony world, it looked so beautiful, a tear flew out my eye...and that didnt end well, I asked if I could land and they ofcourse said yes. It was small, not much high buildings, some small and sweet, somewhat clustered, overall it was very small and everyone knew eachother...now its a metropolis world with a large population, and a great economy. Uh no lol, I was amongst the first colonists on Terrius...not Fordius"

Faction In a Nutshell

Founded in 2192, the young Fordius Federation is a prosperous and growing faction thats growing economically, militaristicly, territorially, influentially , politically, etc. The factions current mission right now is to secure, claim and mine good mineral deposits for humanity since current resources will run out eventually and future resource deposits need to be found before its too late, especially in the modern era where humanity is expanding rather rapidly to cement its existence. This is why most ships belonging to the federation do have mineral scanners, should pilots find anything interesting along their travels. The Federation does have many refineries, hab clusters and mining outposts spread accross many systems, some not even claimed or explored by the other factions, hence making their influences quite large, these refineries and mining outposts are often used to also built shipyards and more habs in order to have a prescence there to secure the system for other factions within the alliance, talks regarding military outposts, training stations and other fortifications within these systems are currently taking place, with some people being split between having a peaceful prescence within other systems, or having a militaristic prescence, pacifists do believe any non indigenous alien species (since claiming of a system without the consent of any indigenous populace is viewed as illegal and unjust), will view the federation as a threat and likely attack, not ending well for either side. Militirists do argue that should there be any aggressors from outside, the federation is prepared to defend. Right now Federation currently does have a small Military and space force, yet with more shipyards to spare and resources allowing capacity for mass production, the military will have quite a growth spike in terms of infrastructure.

Fordius Itself

Fordius formed within its parent's system approximately 5 billion years ago, with a mineral rich composition due to it being bombarded by many asteroids slingshotted inward by Trellius (and its system) and into Fordius, it does still does bear scars from this to this day. scientists theorise these craters likely were caused by asteroids and planetismals being slingshot inwards from the Trellius system, with Estella's outermoons slingshotting them further in and being picked up by Fordius on a crash course and bombarding it. Most Planetismals had formed near Trellius and wouldve likely been picked up by its more massive moons and slingshot often, making Trellius and its system quite the suspect here. Fordius's rings likely formed from a combination of Ejected matter from planetismal and asteroid impacts (outer 2 rings) and a moon reaching its roche limit (larger innermost ring).
