Hello again! I think it’s about time for another SimplePlanes 2 demo, don’t you? Since the start of this year we’ve been hard at work on our biggest demo by far, and you can play it starting right now until March 2nd! This demo features both Driftwood Island and Bannock Station from the previous two demos, plus a new location, unlocked part properties, and more!
HOW TO PLAY
To play this demo, head on over to our shiny new SimplePlanes 2 Demo Steam page and click “Install Demo”. You’ll then see “SimplePlanes 2 Demo” in your Steam library and you can get straight to playing!
What To Expect
As with the previous demos, this demo offers a limited experience compared to the full game. However, as mentioned earlier, this time around we’re giving you a lot more to do! Here’s a neat list of what is and isn’t present:
Limited Designer
- Part properties, such as the procedural car engines, can be modified; allowing you to tune the performance of the stock crafts to your liking.
- Parts cannot be added, moved, or removed. Wings and fuselages are also unable to be reshaped.
- The paint tool can be used and decals can be edited, allowing you to personalize the stock crafts or bring new life into your old SP1 crafts with new textures.
Limited Map
- Driftwood Island, a small island densely packed with points of interest including a private airport with a whole race track going through it.
- Bannock Station, a militarized area on the southern-most end of the map featuring a military base, a power plant, and docks.
- Daland Airport, a previously unannounced rural airport on Vetusta Island just west of Driftwood.
Multiplayer
- Multiplayer is fully functional, allowing you to hang out with your friends and do activities such as races together.
Stock Crafts
- A ton of stock crafts are available to load and play with, made by our playtesters. A bunch of new ones have been added since the last demo; so many that I don’t even know exactly how many there are anymore!
Bug Reports
When you encounter a bug, please use the in-game bug report button to tell us what happened. It’s the little bug icon in the pause menu. Bug reports submitted this way give us various files such as your log file that help us a lot with deducing what went wrong.
If you’d like to discuss the demo with other players, or find people to play with, please consider joining our Discord Server! There are a lot of friendly people there who’d love to play.
As always, we hope you have fun <3
@TomKerbal don't think so
@SupremeDorian
When will you resume development of Juno?
Holy this comment section is cooked
Yeah to whoever said it I agree it’s not good to just delete this website outa nowhere
@VectronTechnologies that proves that his soul belongs to gaijin and the snail
@Livingg017, Aludra mentioned it three times in that message.
@PZLAgencies dawg, also I'm active daily...why does it seem as if you were ragebaiting with your previous comments?
Add one for mobile
I’m going to create server named “PUBG”
@Livingg017 well yhats another thing about sp, you can choose violence or choose peace....
@Aludra877 as violent as CS:GO (russian people screaming bullshit in low quality audio) or War Thunder (people just share confidential documents to argument inaccuracies ingame)? i was thinking of trying it but maybe it isnt good to have another violent game in my main ones.
@dzanos it's a 1st person shooter and from what ik it can get pretty violent
@Aludra877 Fr Fr, I've played all the shooting games you mentioned
“Aren’t you planning to release the game in a mobile version? I’m really looking forward to it.”
Epik! How many demos are planned for release before the main game is fully complete?
What is PUBG? I saw it first as a sound effect.
@Aludra877 war thunder mentioned twice to emphasize its greatness lol, very nice game tho, i mean, people may not have free time for nothing, but they still manage to craft more time for war thunder, like it spawns time at the same time it despawns other time, quite interesting to be honest. idk if the explanation is clear
@Aludra877 ye makes sense
@lawedgie I agree, not to mention I want to post yet I lack time, energy and I have priorities, as well @PZLAgencies the SP website has more Life to it due to it being far older, more kids, teens, young adults and adults drawn to it since it mainly focuses on planes and aircraft, more Pyromaniac people like myself, drawn to it due to it having weapons and wanting to create virtually any warmachine possible within the games bounds, weapons alone draw many people in, 1st person shooters (valorant, Overwatch, Genshin Impact (if you count bows and possibly later single or bolt action guns), Enlisted, Hell Let Loose, Space Marine 2, the star wars Battlefront series, GTA (all), payback 2, Polyfield, Warthunder, PubG, Fortnite, Call of Duty), even dogfighting games (Warplanes WW2, Sky On fire, Warthunder, etc) and naval battle games (Modern Warships, Warthunder, World of Warships, Battle of Warships, War on the Sea, Pacific Fleet, Atlantic Fleet, Cold Waters), so with violence and much more simple engineering, it is bound to be "more alive", not to mention, the first thing people think when seeing rocket building related apps and orbits is "Thats Smart people stuff" and that mindset too contributes in why Sr2 isnt as downloaded unfortunately
the SP website just has much more life than the Juno website
@lawedgie same tbh
i may bounce back soon in the future
@PZLAgencies I dont even post much anymore the excitement of sharing and downloading crafts is numbed down alot. I only come on here to see what other people are up too...
@PZLAgencies you keep saying that like its supposed to mean something, Just let people do their own thing man. Pluss I was pointing out that you lacked consideration towards others.
Also It wasn't something that was ment to be agreed/disagreed with... It was a statement. I do agree with @Aludra877 and @NHI etc... Its only quite because were doing other things, We have lives outside some game.
@PZLAgencies JNO isn't as dead as you claim it to be, i'm still here and so is Aludra, KSaf and others
i'm just busy with other things in mind (mainly my project BTV/Beyond the Veil)
@PZLAgencies also another thing it isnt dead, most creators are fully grown adults who can likely only view and post from time to time thanks to work, if not just overworked college students who don't have time...
@PZLAgencies
SHOOSH
Everyone has lots of supporters man you can't just "DeLEtE the WeBsITE" everyone has a hell of a lot of Data here, from me to FoxtrottheSergal to JAdynamics to Tallisar to Zenithspeed to eyov2 to Hypetpatch....so yeah dude, don't request such things...
