Now I work full time at Jundroo and at the same time study a degree in telecom engineering, I'm the department manager for flight software on a CubeSat team and the secretary of the students union in my university. Vizzy can be a great introduction for programming. They can play with the basic blocks and see the direct effect of the code in the crafts in a matter of seconds.

Pressing W with A or D should make the astronaut body turn to match the movement direction and keep only the head pointing at the camera direction, it would be cool to have run/walk modes and crouch/lay down.
ctrl for crouch, shift for run and ijkluo for turning instead of shift+wasdqe may feel more intuitive since it's how a lot of games are configured by default. For up/down spacebar/ctrl may work too.
When going backward it should run slower than going forward.
Underwater time warp causes the camera distortion to deform the image too much.
When underwater AGL should display the distance to the ocean floor.
When underwater the opacity should increase with distance, which would help to prevent some of the bugs I've seen reported and improve the looks.
Underwater color filter doesn't depend on the color of the water (doesn't affect the current version of the game but is problematic for custom solar systems and will be problematic for planet builder)
@Atomicdragon SR2 is not the same engine with some bonus things, the game is quite different.
They had to change the code because Google requires them to change the code, so blame Google and not Jundroo if you want your mods back. The issue is perfectly explained in the link SupremeDorian sent before.
The camera is indeed quite bad for many things and there're many problems in the game but instead of pointing at them you say the menus are overcomplicated :/
I mean, go to parts, select one part and place it. Go to shape tool and adjust the shape, go to mirror and mirror it. I don't see the complexity. And if you're talking about all the options in the engines, you have many preconfigured engines to choose.
Btw, if you check all the updates there're far more bug fixes than additions. If you prefer simple planes, fine, the game is clearly more polished, the community bigger and you may like some of the mechanics more... But asking for a refund? I think they're working a lot on polishing SR2 and mobile version is coming soon, one of the most requested features

@Marssmmm Because it takes more time to develop and test, the devices are generally more limited in terms of resources, they use a totally different architecture and, the least important but still worth considering, the game is cheaper on mobile platforms. It's a lot easier to develop for pc only, see if things work, iterate a couple of times to fix bugs (usually all bugs on pc show on mobile but not all bugs on mobile show on PC) and then port it and focus on mobile.
That said, this time we've been focusing a lot on mobile and there've been lots of performance improvements on the planets that allow us to take things a step further without increasing loading times or the use of memory much. In fact, in 0.9.6 and using the old system you should get a substantial boost in performance when generating quads (terrain)
You can make parts float now using the translation tool. I would love to have a glass part or an alpha slider in the paint brush but Nathan told us in the past that there're some issues with the render priority that would make the ocean invisible through transparent parts, it's a shame.
Btw, for suggestions you should go to the feedback section, the suggestions here in the forum are just for discussion. If you search in the feedback section you should find a couple posts asking for glass/transparent parts.

@Junal the GUI and controls are designed to be used in a desktop environment, with keyboard and mouse. On top of that, planet generation is a very hard task for a mobile processor to be done in quick iterations, risking overheating the device.

Jundroo is a small team, they're working on multiple things at once and I'm sure the workflow has to follow some steps to make things efficient.
If you can't wait a couple weeks for a game feature to be released to the point of threatening the devs you should visit a psychiatrist asap.
People doesn't hate you, this is just a game forum and people can sound sharp when others are annoying. Victimhood can annoy people too and the issue is not talking about climate change or how the world os fucked up, the issue is trying to push that topic artificially multiple times while other people is having conversations about unrelated topics and in a place meant to talk about other topics
It would be great to see some sort of modularity in the astronauts, like different types of helmets, suits and backpacks with different specifications/uses and different costs
Even my laptop struggles to run planet studio, having it enabled on mobile will only cause a lot of problems.
In the right place and at the right time I would love to talk about it (like in the post about why paint should be white or just reflective metal, where you said you didn't want to talk about the contamination of the paint) but you have to understand that to have a conversation both parts of it have to be interested in the topic at the time, and not everyone is interested all day long
@AndrewGarrison I know it's an old suggestion and you had problems implementing it, but for Vizzy having access to orbital parameters is a must (apoapsis, periapsis, time for both, orbital period...) and encounter parameters would be really cool (time to land, distance to land, lat/long for the landing, distance to target, time to target, info about planet approaches...)
Another very appreciated addition would be an optional code interface and not just blocks (even if it is through xml or something similar)

You can make transparent paints, the problem is that the parts can't have transparency, so the paint looks opaque once you apply it
Making parts transparent can be a problem in the rendering engine (currently transparency would prevent water to be rendered behind the part and some other issues like that)

There're multiple ways:
Copy the link to the file and paste it inside the game
In the game go to Download crafts, search the craft and click download
Download the craft file in a web browser and paste it in the crafts folder
@Bmcclory we don't even need a new part, just an spheric option on nosecones instead of just cone and curved cone, that can prevent the spike on top of the deformated nosecones
And when you have 50 mods in the Lego bucket better install the Janitor's closet
I never get tired of this posts, it's like the 3rd time I see a post like this and I'm always forgetting some format
- Copy the link to the craft, go to the game and press ctrl+v
- Go to the editor or main page and click in Download Crafts, find the craft you want and click in Download. It should automatically open in the game
- Download the file and go to LocalLow/Jundroo/Simplerockets/UserData/CraftFiles. Paste the file there
The size issue, just make the crafts meant to have crew adapted to the size of the crew, same for KSP, if you want Kerbonauts the craft needs to fit them.
For the custom cabins problem. If they add characters I'm sure they'll add crafts with interiors, and many cabins have interiors now, it's just an inexistent problem that will be fixed itself. The only problem is that old crafts won't work well with them, like with the new engines.
A quick fix for the custom cabins would be adding a seat part, so them can be on the seat and not inside the only crew cabin part that we have now, and then improving how cargo bay doors work so we can make the cabins.
@tars13 wait for planet builder, career mode and mod tools lmao. Only things ksp has now are kermen, antenna and science. And a shit ton of mods. But for this price this game crushes ksp.

The twr calculation is not as easy as just multiplying by theta but it could be done with a vector sum instead of magnitude sum as it is now. Not sure about the hit in the performance doing so. If they let us access all the things accessible through input controllers and part position (relative to the com)/rotation it may be possible to calculate it ad hoc in a vizzy program.
Performance analysis based on planets is a good idea, it affects only planets with atmosphere and the twr value but would be interesting to have
The ascend/descend node is planned iirc (you can see them now but not select them).
To be honest, just this things shouldn't make you leave, there are other problems that affect the gameplay more (some broken basic orbit dynamics, minor inconveniences like having to go out of the designer to select a launch location, aerodynamic glitches, simple details that could be added like capping speed to c, inconsistencies in some parts...) but I understand that they are a really small team and the focus now has to be to build a strong base for the game with the basic mechanics (planet studio, career mode...) that take a lot of work and are quintessential to the game success.
In fact, look back at all the things they've done in just one year, I was expecting most of them to take twice as long: the android release, vizzy, the jets and engines, the lights... They've even added things that most of the community doesn't use just to make us, the active players, happy, like everything to do with the input controllers. It's really obvious how much they care for us and how much love they have for this game.

One thing I'm worried about humanoid characters is falling into the uncanny valley or having too simple animations that end up looking kind of funny. Do you have any plan to sort that out?
The trailer seems to be far from reality and many of the additions are things that were already a thing in mods: better textures, updates to the models, better graphics and some new parts. I really feel like that should be an update to ksp and not a new game but heh, I guess Squad needs money.
