@TriVector dont panic, modern crafts will be seen in two months. You guys really think that planes from this period are impossible… i might build myself a submission (obviously not participating)
@Nksskssskss11 i agree
Building a plane is easy, the enemy is no free time.
@Nksskssskss11 there are quite cool planes in this period. WW1 planes are really cool, you could do some Caproni, or some Sopwith, or some Fokker, or an autogyro, you have unlimited options!
@TriVector no, its 60, i will increase it in future editions, but anyway if we did cold war 60 parts is enough, the HF-01S was once less than 60 and was still amazing
I think thinking of what aircraft should we build is bit easier in that timeline since there are multiple forgotten fighters and bombers.
@Livingg017 Yeah, I was just talking about Lq11's scenario here
@Livingg017 so is the limit now 100 parts
Yeah i aint participating in this because i suck at building planes
@TheVizzyLucky this is the first edition, we have years following! we will improve, trust me.
@TriVector 300 is pure nonsense for a monthly contest, i will balance @JLaerospace 's proposal
@Lq11 Even then I think using elements that fit into the contest's time would make sense as a good thumbnail imo should not just fit some non-existent lore (non-existent because Living didn't mention anything about it), but also tell people more about the post than the title. And again, it's an idea - he asked for feedback, so I told him what imo would make sense, without ever telling him he had to do it even if it doesn't fit his idea of the contest
@Livingg017 yeah 60 parts is making the challenge more harder instead of easier atleast do it like 300 parts
@Livingg017 I think the 60 parts is manageable, but it will not serve its intended purpose of making it easier/more accessible for beginners as more seasoned members of the community know much more how to use parts more efficiently so for future build challenges, you could contemplate increasing the part ceiling to 100 maybe
@Livingg017 60parts feels so little for this...
@Livingg017 ok
@Mystial Wdym by "Nah"?
@Rocketnerd2025 uh ok that is a problem with lift placement, i would recommend you to enable the center of gravity and center of lift indicators in the building menu so you can balance your craft accordingly, the red and blue balls must be as close as possible, to achieve this, shift fuel weight or adjust wing size and position. if the issue persists try starting again the process, seek for real blueprints to get inspiration and dont panic
@Livingg017 I need someone to teach me how to make planes because when I try, It goes up and then goes down into the water.
@Nepenthe no need to make engines
@Lq11 yeah I support that we should do modern stuff and all as there are a lot of options and things and everyone could build something different which might not be the case with old timeline
@Livingg017 The post has become on the homepage
I suck at that era but ima try maybe??
@TheVizzyLucky What if this competition is not about building aircraft from those years, but about creating/restoring copies of aircraft from those years only in our time?
I'm bad at making monoplanes lol but I'll try my best
