The Long March 2D carrier rocket was developed by the Shanghai Academy of Space Technology, a subsidiary of The China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation. The Long March 2D carrier rocket was developed on the basis of the first and second stages of the Long March 4 rocket and was used to launch LEO and SSO orbit satellites.
The long March 2-D rocket achieved a 50-game record and sent more than 100 satellites into space. In the 30 years since its inception in 1990, the Long March 2D carrier rocket has been awarded the titles of "high-quality rocket" and "Gold Rocket" due to its outstanding performance and achievements.
China successfully launched gaofen-9 04 satellite into orbit at 12:01 am on August 6, using a Long March 2D carrier rocket from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Northwest China. It is understood that the mission also carried the launch of the Tsinghua Science satellite.
