The LVM-3 is currently the biggest, the most advanced and the most powerful launch vehicle fielded by the ISRO. Basing upon the earlier GSLV Mk I and Mk II rockets, this one uses a more conventional staging design, or at least so it seems on the surface. When you watch it launch, however, you will see that the core doesn't light on the surface, but only after booster separation. This is currently unique among launch vehicles, and it makes the design a lot more deltaV efficient.
This rocket has been chosen to carry the Gaganyaan crewed spacecraft, and has also launched the Chandrayaan 2 and 3 missions.
It also currently holds the title of the most reliable Indian launch vehicles, with no failures to its name. This, combined with a relatively low launch cost at 48,000,000$ or 402 Crore Rupees (4800$ per kg) makes it competitive in the commercial satellite launch market.

@SSTCREATIONS Eh, you live and you learn. It's not that big of an issue though, just change the staging. Thank you!

Actually the engines of the core stage start mid flight not after booster separation
