The Elligius MK2 Capsule is AstroAerospace's next gen heavy capsule consisting of 3 different levels capable of carrying 6-15 crew members and up to a significant amount of cargo from and back to earth depending on the capsules configuration.

What is a "heavy" capsule?

•Similar to the different classifications of launch vehicles, AAST has developed a new classification of spacecraft for both crewed and cargo missions that's not only bigger, but all around more capable.

•Our heavy capsules are designed primarily for both short and long range missions and to provide safe and comfortable habitation for crew on long journeys around the solar system.

•The Chimera is a dual combustion chamber engine ran of rich LOX/RP1 (Kerolox) and is Elligius's new primary propulsion system.

•The Elligius MK2 capsule contains 4 Chimera engines in similar configuration as SpaceX's Dragon capsule. When compared to our older Hellfire engines the AA-Chimera delivers 49% more thrust at extreme efficiency not only making for safer and quicker launch aborts but as well as more efficient maneuvers. In addition Elligius also has new RCS thrusters that are more powerful enabling even finer tuned orbital adjustments.
