For a few days in 1971, the United Kingdom was one of the few nations at the time capable of sending a spacecraft into earth orbit. The Black Arrow rocket system they used was one of the smallest and cheapest ever developed, featuring a unique fuel combination of kerosene and peroxide oxidizer.
Black Arrow R3 takes off from Woomera, Australia
And then they promptly binned it.
Thankfully, you don’t have to be as shortsighted as the UK government with this reasonably accurate sub-100-part design. The build is largely experimental and as such there are a few liberties, but it is a functional model of the lipstick rocket. Fly a steep trajectory and try not to flip out.
