This video describes the basics behind editing craft XML files in Simple Rockets 2. I’ll show you how to get the right mobile app (Koder), find your craft XML files, and make some basic edits to create a neat engine ‘lightning’ effect.
Resident sp user here, xml is a wonderful tool that can help builders create insane aircraft and rockets, but in the wrong hands, it can corrupt saves and can earn you a strike if you tinker with the auto credit system too badly.
XML DOES NOT SAVE WITH THE UNDO / REDO FUNCTION. xml editing, even if it is done with overload, can be completely erased by pressing the undo button, and hitting redo will probably not fix it. Dont become another victim of the undo button, use it responsibly.
oh my goodness, thank you so much! I am a mobile user, this is so awesome! I have SP, which currently has an in-game XML editing option, so I've been wanting to do the same in SR2.
@Gozinya Android so starting with SP getting cut from mods but getting funky trees was sufficient. Seeing your video lit a fire in me which was quickly burnt out as Android tends to do. I followed your link and it wanted me to download a mirror app which I did. But dead end. Then searched for it on play store to no avail.

@Gozinya You don’t have to use Koder but you can use many text editing apps as you want!

I’m really sorry about that; I did some more digging and it seems you’re right. However, I think this app might work just as well.
