Experience the joys of a SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule style Heads up Display in Simple Rockets 2. Docking is is a lot easier with a perfectly aligned first person camera and a comprehensive display of your approach angles, offsets, and rates!
Thank you to @speediplayz for sharing the International Space Station craft which I used in the screenshots and videos.

I appreciate all the comments and suggestions. I think they are great and would like to implement them. However, I cannot promise how soon I will get to them. FWIW the code for this mod is hosted on GitHub and I would happily accept pull requests. I have added a roadmap section as well as basic instructions for contributing. If you are new to modding, Unity, or c# here are some resources to get you started:
Apparently, the new Version 1.0.9 is not compatible with this mod. The mod will not reference the target selected in the new version, even when a specific docking ring on the target ship is selected.
It's a favorite. A must have. Great Job.
@Gen3ralInterstel1ar Suggest it. Perhaps an optional toggle in settings? It would be very helpful.
@Elgaagung scroll down through the comments here for answers.
You guys should really make this available as part of the regular game and not a mod.
@Tweedle_Aerospace Same here
Wish I could use on mobile
This needs to be a pre installed mod on mobie
Issues with downloading, issue with the process or just between the keyboard and chair?
The docking hud is awesome idea, I'm on Mobil so guess I miss out for now. This awesome idea you have, I can picture a planetary navigation hud that would be a awesome way to not have to use the map, kinda like the nav ball but in hud style and more information without a ball hiding your ship or rocket
@sflanker ohh... I'll just stick with solar systems for now i guess
@RandomShtuff Unfortunately SimpleRocket 2 mods are not currently compatible with either mobile platform. IOS prohibits mods because the nanny state that is Apple has to review every line of code that runs on their platform. Android has recently made some technical changes that have stopped Unity mods built with mono from working, so mods won't be available for Android at least until Unity/mono resolve this issue. In other words this is completely out of the developers, and modders, hands.
Its a nice concept... I just hope theres a version of this for the mobile app so I can try it for my self
This Should be Integrated In The Game In The Following Updates!
Why are you so good at making mods like this? It's been like 2 months and you've churned out some of the best mods this game has ever had.
Very well made. It deserves an upvote!
Please make an option to hide the rings.
@sflanker adjusting the sensitivity would be very useful, for docking with precise adjustment.
@sflanker no bother, and thanks :D
@sflanker Alright, maybe you could add the controls to the screen so you can press them like on the SpaceX simulator?
And yea the sensitivity thing would be really awesome.
Btw nice mod. :)
@RealDavidB Currently this mod does not change the controls. This is something I considered, and I'm open to suggestions for version 0.2. The most obvious would be to bind U-I-O-J-K-K to the control translation (like Q-W-E-A-S-D in translation mode) so you could control translation and attitude simultaneously. Another thing I've thought about is some kind of sensitivity adjustment for the keyboard controls. I fine it very difficult to fine tune rotation especially with the keyboard, even with RCS and Gyro at their lowest possible power (and decreasing the power has to be done in the designer, so that is suboptimal). Lastly if there isn't already a keybinding for locking heading to current that would be helpful (I use this to null out the rotation rates once I get the orientation I want). Other thoughts?
