First planet of Sinai star. The close proximity to its host star Sinai and its eccentricity are the cause of this planet’s extreme geological activity. The volcanoes and the lava on the surface spew out gases that form its thin but fleeting atmosphere.

Early colonizers steered clear of this planet because of it’s close proximity to Sinai. The intense radiation from its parent star made this planet hostile to life. Hel became a penal planet for anyone the Fundamentalists deemed undesirable. During the Great War, it became the home world of the Hoplites.
