I don't have anything planned for today's post, so I'm just going to wing it. Some of you have been asking if you will be able to build airplanes and shuttles in SimpleRockets 2 and the answer is yes. The wings in SR2 will be the same beauties that allowed SimplePlanes to take flight.

You can attach them anywhere on your craft, resize them in 8 different ways, and add multiple control surfaces. You can also assign control surfaces to available inputs, such as Pitch, Roll, Yaw, etc, or just leave it set to Auto and let the computer figure out how to make it work. The wings are great for stabilizing and providing attitude control in an atmosphere. Outside of an atmosphere, they don't do much, but you can still flap the control surfaces back and forth maniacally to ensure your keyboard is still working.

Here are the details:

  • Mass: Varies with size
  • Price: Varies with size
  • Size: Varies with your heart's desire

@SpaceloverSTS001 (as of current info) beta will start on steam (PC/Mac) june - ish. IOS and Android will be released late this year/early next year. Assuming SR1 is on Amazon play store now(idk if it is personally), and it's based in Android software it's safe to say you'll be waiting till late this/early next year for a release. If you can't wait though, get the beta. It should run well even on a crumby laptop if that's all you got, as SR2 is being developed to run on specs as low as an S6

@AndrewGarrison Will we be able to launch with select amounts of fuel (ie. Tank can hold 1000L, but I want to launch with 500L, then be able to fill up full to 1000L at a station)

@AndrewGarrison What do you mean by "they will support textures"? Do you mean that we will be able to place our own textures on fuselages and fuel tanks?

@AndreGarrisson Could we be able to use spaces like the inner side of a decoupler to put some Batteries in and any science module if there isn't any space??
