Hello! Many of you likely know me already, either from my long tenure as a moderator and community member of Juno: New Origins, or as a brief moderator on simpleplanes.com a few years ago. But for those of you who don't:
Hi, I'm Dorian. I've been playing Jundroo games for about the past ten years, and have been close with the team for about five years, mainly as a volunteer moderator for the Juno website. I love these games and I love seeing the things other people make.
As you might be able to tell based on my conspicuous new tag, though, we've taken a new step beyond just volunteer moderation. As of this post, I am now Jundroo's Community Manager. This is an incredibly meaningful development to me and a great honour, and I'd like to outline some of what this means for us and you, the wonderful community that plays our games.
I will be coordinating the moderation effort on simpleplanes.com, simplerockets.com, and the official SimplePlanes 2 Discord server.
I'll be acting as a bridge to facilitate communication between the community and the dev team, such as posting dev updates or answering questions (when I am qualified to answer them).
I hope to use this as an opportunity to host more official community events, such as challenges, tournaments, or SP2 multiplayer events. To that end, feel free to comment anything you'd like to see; this is a community-focused task and I'd love to hear your ideas.
Lastly, this role will likely evolve as time goes on and we get closer to SP2's release and I settle in. I'm very strongly looking forward to engaging with you all, I'm very lucky to have this role and I want to make the best I can of it. For now, I'll see you all around :)

@Crazyman552588 regarding your custom map wishes, it is possible to do this in Juno thanks to Planet Studio, where not only can you make or modify planets but also add structures to them, which means you can make a big airport like you mentioned, though the structure components are quite primitive so don't expect flight-sim levels of detail (in SimplePlanes this is not possible by default, maybe with mods; and i don't even know what SimplePlanes2 is like so i can't comment on that)

@Livingg017 I think you can do it, in your own way. I spent a long time thinking I'd never go anywhere in life, right up to the moment I was offered this job. But if you're ever feeling that way, know that things aren't always what your catastrophizing brain makes them out to be. Anything can happen.

yeah it's pretty insane looking back and wondering how I got here. so many little things could have happened differently many years ago and I wouldn't be here. I'm very grateful for things to have gone this way
@SupremeDorian i knew ive had heard your name before, just discovered i heard it when i still played SFS and watched videos about it, man you're everywhere! congrats for the new role, some days ago i felt what ingame popularity was when i uploaded the UXF-1, i cannot imagine how happy you gotta be, the process of just having fun playing games for long and to make roots on the community to then , years later, looking back from above, its just a nice thing to do. Also thanks for the upvote from yesterday, it meant a lot to me as i followed you since SFS, if you need any help helping the community just tell me, i love to help new players get better!

Not affiliate. Juno and simple planes are not affiliate with discord it is a separate entity so it can't be official simple planes discord it's owned by a fellow player or mod. This is how it can keep it okay. It's like having an LLC that you can't sue the person but you can sue the business. This protects the person from. In this case I'm just saying. If anyone had any issues on discord, "cough" and you know what I mean supreme Dorian. I have no issues I'm just talking from experience. But how can I, i am not even allowed on any of the discords lol. Either way I'm just saying that the discord and the games can't not be officially together they're not really. That's what Andrew and pedro said long ago to me.
