Maybe you can set one of those edge points of that curve to -1 instead of 1 and then the noise won't be inverted, just a guess though, too lazy to try

@TRAPPIST1 Yeah I did some last second changes (among which was noticing and fixing sun panels as well as the broken system start time (it started at sunset)), so I deleted it after publishing it

This has been a problem since basically forever. With the crafts I tested that are wide enough to not fall in the hole, it doesn't explode. And if the craft isn't wide enough, you can add an invisible detacher that is wide enough, or you could always use LC-39C.
If your craft is wide enough and yet it still explodes, I can't think of something I could do to fix that within the launch locations themselves, since I've already basically dropped the launch location on the rail things.

@RichGWall It is so. Only the close up surface is artistic/procedural. If you wanna know more I wrote some stuff on the system page. The max resolution per any texture is 16384x16384px, but theoretically you can have them as big as you want since you can split a cube face of the planet into multiple textures.

@AdrianCastillo An even better option would be to implement it as a sphere that you can change the height of and paint it using noise or textures (by just adding EnabledWithSymbols="CLOUDS" to the modifier that you want to affect the clouds like you would for painting on the scaled space sphere).

something even better would be to just have an option of importing 3d models and converting the polygons to panels

@Chtite451SR2 The trick is to do something unique that nobody is/was doing, advertise it on the discord server, amass followers via that method and there you go, you get a lot of points for a short amount of time.

@TopSecret2 I mean, it's not like that will help much. The game isn't simulating spaceflight physics while building planets. Or is it? idk, I'm not a developer

@Deanolt If something weird happens in RTSS is probably happens in stock as well, because RTSS isn't a mod and doesn't have anything that can change the behavior of astronauts in it.

Biomes are connected to the vertex modifiers listed at the top. For example, Luna has a plains biome. That biome's edges are defined by the vertex data "Craters" modifier among other ones.

Another thing, just like with 1.6 the launch pads don't have a hole in the middle, which means you don't need to use runway for big rockets that don't have wide enough bases

@rockethelper It's already blue on the top. Compare the first image to the famous Cassini image of Saturn, the ring scale is correct.

@TRAPPIST1 yes, Saturn and Jupiter look very odd in rss but that's just due to the game's limitations, you could squish it but that would make the atmosphere odd

@iAEROSPACE Depends on which planet's SOI you're located. The textures aren't loaded at all times, but once some are the RAM usage shouldn't exceed 3GB.

the hottest crafts begin as the ones that are newest. unlike the newest ones, the position there can switch based on how many upvotes you got. unlike the highest rated, it's also dependent on the amount of time after upload.
TL;DR: it's a combination of the Newest and Highest Rated sections
