Port SimpleRockets 2 to iOS and Android. The UI has been designed for desktop and will need to be tweaked to work on smaller, touch displays. Also, the performance of SR2 will need to be improved as much as possible to run on mobile hardware.

July 19th, 2019

I've been working on the mobile port since early June. It's been a challenge getting the user interface to work on the tiny mobile screens. I'm really glad we opted to use an XML-based UI for this, that has made it easier, but it is still quite challenging. The designer UI will include a Finger Tool to help with precise placement on mobile and also adds the ability to clone part(s) and rip a single part out of a cluster of parts.

The flight UI will have a throttle slider on the bottom left and optional analog sticks that will help for flying airplanes (as well as for docking crafts in translation mode).

I'm mostly using my iPhone X for testing and the game is running really well. It struggles a bit on the iPhone 6 and also occasionally has issues with running out memory. The iPhone 6 only has 1GB of RAM, so we are not sure at this point if we will be able to support that device. We may require at least an iPhone 6S, which I noticed another game does. I'm not yet sure how this translates to Android, but I would imagine this is close to a Samsung S6. (The S6 has a whopping 3GB of RAM. Nice!)

At this point, we are looking at late August or early September for a potential mobile release.

Suggestion Done Fixed in 0.8.107.0

@HUSSAINKANCH7 Hello, sorry for the "delay", i cant remember the settings but it looked like a low preset with some antialiasing, and lightning enhancement

It says: “Completed items that will be included in a future release.” Under the completed since last release heading. So it will be here soon. @AceDAVE3000

@Kell Oh that's sounding very good! I really want to see how well my Galaxy Note 9 performs with PC-like graphics settings and then see how better will my new Galaxy Note 10 run the game

Which would be the least Galaxy Note phone to be able to run this game? Also, will the game have an fps lock on 30 fps or 60 fps? (or not have any fps lock?)

Also are the graphics options in the settings the same as on pc or will be less settings to tweak than on pc? I strongly recommend leaving all the options there so we can customize our experience even more. (and please don't decrease the graphics settings to fit for mobile, let us do it! (so we can have the same graphics as on pc, if the phone is powerful enough, for example)) This question is also for those lucky bois who already tested the game...
